D1GP 2004 U.S. vs Japan at GT Live

December 2004, the D1 Grand Prix held a U.S. vs. Japan match, along side with GT Live at California Speedway. The GT Live event featured Japanese race cars from the JGTC series and held races through out the day and ending at night. The night event featured the drift cars in the D1GP and many drifting fans came out to be entertained in a friendly International competition. Top Japanese and U.S. drifters battle for top honors, with Kumakubo finishing at top. With a year of drifting under the U.S. drivers’ belts, they show off their skills but were unable to stop the dominating force of the professionals from Japan.
