D1 Grand Prix USA 2003

The very first Japanese drifting event to hit the U.S. Shores. Japanese drivers came across the Pacific to show us what their infamous sport of drifting is all about. This is the most exciting motorsports event in the world!
The event was full of Japanese drifting machines, drivers, judges, and a few JDM model. It was the first time seeing all the live action that people craved in Options videos for years. Definitely a great first time event for the D1GP staff and Slipstream Global who coordinated the event. The drifting action was not stop with many of the drifting stars tearing up the Irwindale track. Taniguchi, Nomura, Kazama, Ueno, Imamura, Kumakubo and many more made the long overseas trip tp drive at this event. It was Katsuhiro Ueo in his AE86 that was able to take the victory and the first D1GP USA exhibition winner!
